This is a story that probably noone will ever read. Consider it to be a fairytale. Or a romantic movie. Or, I don’t know… Just a story, with no happy end. (SPOILER!)
The “Let Go Project” is my creative way of letting go of the past. Hopefully it will take my pain away, little by little. That’s why this blog has an expiry date.
The idea was given to me by Blue, my best friend.
In October 2016, I broke up with my 9 1/2 year boyfriend. The break up was pretty bad and I was FULL OF RAGE (Caps-Fucking-Lock ON, on purpose). I still am.
The first step I took is throwing away all of our photos, our little cute everyday love notes etc. I deleted all of his messages, e-mails, all the tracks and movies that reminded me of him, all the digital photos his face was in. He had to disappear from my life as soon as possible.
You get the point, so you can guess which was going to be the second step. Right! His presents!!! I had to get rid of them. Throwing them in the garbage, seemed too easy. Selling them, created the delusion that I could “earn” something out of this shit. This wasn’t my type at all. Throwing them in the sea maybe? Noone will ever find them! They will be buried in sand and stones forever. Along with my pain and memories.
And then Blue gave me the hint. “Why don’t you just leave them? Leave them somewhere, so that someone else can find them and be instantly happy for their new acquisition. Leave them on a bench, on the street, on a tree… Make the best out of it, make someone happy.”
And so it began………….
ALL CHARACTERS APPEARING ON THIS BLOG ARE NOT FICTIONAL.
THE STORY IS ENTIRELY TRUE. THE NAMES ARE CHANGED.
If you find any of the items “hidden” around the world or you wish to send me your photos about the items you want to let go, go ahead and contact to the e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
